Round or elongated: how to tell your bowl

Stand over the toilet and look straight down at the bowl. Toilet bowls come in two main shapes, and you can usually tell them apart at a glance.

• Round: the front of the bowl curves in a short, even arc, and the bowl looks about as long as it is wide.
• Elongated: the bowl reaches further forward into an oval, so it looks clearly longer than it is wide.

The SC.01-V has a V-shaped seat that runs further forward. It is the seat for an elongated bowl, and it follows the longer oval of the rim to the front.
